NAB 2008: JVC's David Walton discusses HD

By David Basulto

After shooting my last film on a JVC HD100 camera and loving it, I was excited to see what was new at the JVC booth at this year's NAB. Not only did I get a glimpse at some super hot cameras but David Walton, JVC's marketing wizard, took some time to explain JVCâ??s  new 20mb system.

As companies move more and more to high definition they will be confronted with the added cost of a converter. JVC's new 20mb system contains a built in encoder that will eliminate the added cost. It seems JVC has really hit on something special here.

Enjoy our conversation with David Walton of JVC.
